Today's topic is simple, yet one of my favorites: cozy throw blankets! Maybe it's because I grew up and still live in the Seattle area, but there's something about the chilly Fall and Winter weather that invites a warm cup of your favorite drink, a book or magazine, and for you to cuddle up on the couch with a warm blanket. Besides a good faux fur blanket, this cable knit 100% cotton throw blanket is a great affordable blanket I often recommend, especially since it comes in 15 colors. It's easy to find just what you need to go with your home's style and color scheme.
One of my favorite spots in our PNW beach house is this little nook between our entryway and living room fireplace. I'm the first to admit our home layout is a little awkward and I can hardly wait until we get to renovate, but in the meantime, we work with what we have!
When the water side of the living room gets too warm and bright from the windows and skylights, I tend to move to this side where I can still enjoy the water view, but still see my laptop screen or settle in with a book and writing. :-)
