Small Bathroom Design Idea

BathroomAnneke McConnell

It’s a quick post today for this Coastal Rustic Bathroom design concept and it was so fun to put this together! I love the beautiful brass detailing in the round black mirror, the custom coastal artwork by Alison Junda, and not to mention faux olive branches are having their moment right now and provide a pretty touch of green. Between the grasscloth and tile, and deep teal of the bath towels, I hope this design inspires you!

Today's bedroom design envisions the blending of two styles.  It has a more down to earth vibe with the natural weave bed and two tone striped basket, clean lines, and contrast.

To finish out the room, I'd add in more navy elements to compliment the nautical striped x-benches and balance out the neutral colors. I'd also top the bed with a quality linen duvet set and place a neutral slipcovered chair in the room. The chunky cotton and wool rug in particular is a BEAUTIFUL natural rug that will work in almost any room and design.

Coastal Interiors: Cozy Reading Nook

Christmas, Coastal Interiors, Edesign, Holiday, Home Blog Posts, Interiors, Living RoomAnneke McConnell

Hi friends! Thanks so much for your amazing response to my first my first Gift Guide of the season supporting small business owners!  As retailers has "unleashed" the mass of their own guides and sale, even I was becoming overwhelmed. With that said, I'm happy to delve into all that and narrow things down for you!

As we approach the weekend and the holidays have officially kicked off, I have to say I'm LOVING this season and embracing the JOY of it all.  I'm choosing to be very intentional with my time and making room for family fun with less stress and more balance - I have to say this book, The Miracle Morning (have you heard of it?),  has been eye-opening for me in making this happen!

As for today's mini-design, I have a cozy reading nook in mind, curling up with that book, next to a fireplace, and enjoying a cup of hot cocoa.  Bliss am I right?!

The seasonal wreath adds a pop of green next to some of my favorite colors of navy, black, white and gold.  I'd love to know what stands out to you first and if you have any questions - ask away in the comments!

Thanks for stopping in today!
